NAIS Hong Kong will open a university-style Sixth Form Centre in Hung Hom in August 2026, becoming the first international school in Hong Kong to offer both A Levels and the IB Diploma.

Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong (NAIS Hong Kong) has confirmed plans to open a dedicated Sixth Form Centre in Hung Hom in August 2026, adding A Levels to its existing International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme offering. The move will make NAIS Hong Kong the first international school in the city to run both post-16 qualifications in parallel.

The new centre, located at 11 Wan Hoi Street in Hung Hom, is designed as a university-style environment with dedicated study spaces, collaborative learning areas, and specialist facilities. It will operate alongside the school's existing secondary campuses in Kwun Tong and Lam Tin, providing Year 12 and Year 13 students with a distinct senior learning environment.

Dual Pathway Strategy

Principal Tim Richardson said the dual-qualification model was intended to give students greater choice at a pivotal stage. Under the arrangement, students will be able to specialise in three to four A Level subjects or pursue the broader IB Diploma, with their decision guided by individual strengths, learning styles, and university destination preferences.

To mark the opening, the school is launching a Sixth Form Scholarship Programme open to both current NAIS students and external applicants. The scholarship offers a tuition-fee reduction, with the most exceptional candidates potentially eligible for a fully funded place through the IB Diploma years.

Hong Kong's Broader Sixth-Form Expansion

The NAIS announcement is part of a wider expansion of sixth-form provision in Hong Kong's international school sector this year. Kellett School, also rooted in the British curriculum, is simultaneously opening a new Sixth Form Centre at the Bay Hub on Kai Cheung Road opposite its Kowloon Bay campus, with capacity for up to 240 students, pending Education Bureau approval. The YK Pao Education Foundation and North London Collegiate School have also confirmed separate new-school launches in the city for 2026.

NAIS Hong Kong is part of Nord Anglia Education's global network of more than 80 premium international schools across 30 countries. The school currently draws students from over 40 nationalities across its Hong Kong campuses.
