SPGS International Opens Singapore Admissions for January 2027 Start
The third campus in St Paul's Girls' School London's international network will open at Harbour Drive in January 2027, following launches in Chengdu and Bangkok over the past five years.
SPGS International School Singapore has opened admissions for a January 2027 start, becoming the third campus in the network backed by St Paul's Girls' School (SPGS) in London. According to Relocate Magazine, the school is a wholly owned subsidiary of the London institution rather than a franchise arrangement, carrying the same ownership structure and accountability as the UK school.
The Singapore school will be co-educational, unlike the single-sex parent school in London, and will occupy a purpose-designed campus at 20 Harbour Drive, close to established residential neighbourhoods in the city's south-west. It follows the network's Chengdu opening in 2021 and the Bangkok launch earlier in 2026.
Curriculum and character
Students will follow the English National Curriculum, progressing to IGCSE and then A Levels. The school has positioned its offer around what it calls a depth-first approach: fewer subjects covered more thoroughly, with emphasis on independent thinking. Alongside core academic disciplines, the programme includes School Directed Courses in Music, Art, and Drama, reflecting St Paul's Girls' School's long-standing arts tradition.
Sara Brazendale, managing director of SPGS International, has described the network's model as carrying "the same ownership, the same accountability, and the same standards" as St Paul's Girls' School London, which the Sunday Times has ranked as the UK's leading school for academic results in 13 of the past 16 years. In a profile published by Think Global People, Brazendale described how each campus is designed to be shaped by its local community while remaining tied to the parent institution's governance.
Singapore's busy new-school market
Singapore's international school sector has seen a wave of new British-curriculum entrants in the 2026 to 2027 period. Heath House International School opened on Bukit Timah Road in August 2026 at the affordable end of the market, with annual fees starting at S$12,000. Wycombe Abbey Singapore is also advancing toward its full launch. SPGS International is positioning itself at the academically selective, premium tier of this new cohort, with fees and entry criteria to reflect that positioning.
Construction of a new senior school building on land adjacent to the Harbour Drive campus is expected to begin in 2027, extending the footprint as year groups are added. For the January 2027 intake, the school is accepting applications across the full age range it will serve from opening day.
