About British School Jakarta
British School Jakarta (BSJ) was established in 1973 under the auspices of the British Embassy and has developed into one of Southeast Asia's leading international schools, with approximately 1,400 students from over 50 nationalities. The school is located in the Bintaro Sektor 9 area of Tangerang Selatan, Banten Province, with an additional Early Years centre formerly operated in Pondok Indah. BSJ is a member of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA).
Primary students follow the English National Curriculum for core subjects, with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) used in Key Stages 1 and 2. Secondary students follow the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in Years 7–9, transitioning to IGCSE in Years 10–11 and the IB Diploma Programme in Years 12–13. Annual tuition fees for Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6) in the 2026–27 academic year are IDR 387,504,000, with a separate annual Capital Levy Contribution (CLC) of IDR 62,000,000. Fees cover tuition, textbooks and stationery.
