About Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong

Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong opened in 2003 in the Jinqiao area of Pudong New District. It is part of the Dulwich College International network, affiliated with Dulwich College in London, and was the first international campus in the network.

The school enrols approximately 1,600 students and runs the English National Curriculum from Early Years through Year 11 (IGCSE), then transitions to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Years 12–13. Mandarin Chinese is taught from Year 1 onwards as a core part of the curriculum.

Admission is restricted to foreign passport holders only, in line with mainland Chinese regulations governing international schools.

Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong is widely regarded as one of the strongest international schools in mainland China. Opened in 2003, it was the first international campus in the Dulwich College International network and now enrols approximately 1,600 students at the Jinqiao site in Pudong. The pathway runs the English National Curriculum through Year 11 (IGCSE), then the IB Diploma in Years 12–13. The school posted an average of 38.6 points in the 2025 IB Diploma — the highest mean of any school in China that year. Where the school is

Located in the Jinqiao expat residential area of Pudong New District, eastern Shanghai. The campus serves the large foreign community based around Jinqiao, Lianyang, and Biyun. Mandarin is taught from Year 1.
